Despite these tough times, our furry friends still need obedience training. Missy is now offering private phone consultations. For more information, please call 610.438.3558

Kennels & Boarding

It’s hard to leave your pet behind when the family goes on vacation, but sometimes it just isn’t possible to take the dog along. Knowing that your pet is safe, secure and receiving first class care goes a long way in easing the discomfort of leaving him or her while you travel. We started boarding dogs because so many of our obedience clients asked us to watch their pets while they travelled. The desire to provide a place where the dogs are well cared for and to give them personalized attention led us to begin a small boarding kennel service.

We are small enough to provide individualized care. Dogs sleep in a climate controlled garage at night. During the day, they receive three walks with their own handler, and they get plenty of mental stimulation in large individual outdoor runs. Each run has its own doghouse and a full roof. The dogs enjoy the country scenery including watching the horses nearby in their pastures. All walks are done in a field where our guests can enjoy the feel of grass under their feet.

Owners supply their own food so diets are not disrupted. Toys and bedding from home are allowed to help the dog feel comfortable in the new surroundings. We believe in plenty of fresh air, so everybody is ready for sleep when it’s time for lights out. Someone is always on the premises at night.

“I wanted to let you know that we are always very pleased with Nala’s care while at the kennel and with the very kind and helpful staff you have.”

We are very concerned about the safety of all of the dogs who board with us.  To that end, we require that all dogs who board with us have current vaccinations for rabies, distemper and Bordetella.  The Bordetella MUST contain a component against parainfluenza.  The most common format for Bordetella with parainfluenza is given nasally.    Additionally, we strongly recommend that your dog be vaccinated against canine influenza.  If your dog’s vaccinations have lapsed for more than two weeks or if your dog is receiving one of the above vaccines for the first time, the vaccinations MUST be administered at least two weeks prior to the first day of your reservation to allow sufficient time for your dog to develop full immunity.

We are happy to provide extra services such as play yards and extended walks for the more active dogs; hang-time (one on one attention with a staff member) for smaller or older dogs who just want a little extra lovin’; training to sharpen skills for our obedience and training clients; and a stand-in handler if you are enrolled in one of our classes and want your dog to attend while you are away.

Drop off and pick up times are 8:00 – 9:30 AM or 5:00 – 6:30 PM, seven days a week.   You may drop off or pick up during either time slot.  We do morning only drop offs and pick ups on the following holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Christmas Eve. We do not accept drop offs or pick ups on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day.

Effective January 1, 2024, our rates for boarding are: One dog – $45.00 per day;  multiple dogs who can share an outdoor run – $40.00 per dog per day; daycare – $38.00 per day, a second dog who can share the same outdoor run – $33.00 per day (drop off during the morning time slot and pick up during the evening time slot).  Charges are calculated starting the day your dog is dropped off, regardless of check in time, and for each day your dog is with us after the 8:00 – 9:30 AM check out time.

penny“Thank you so much for taking care of Penny while we were on vacation. Leaving our girl for the first time was tough, but knowing she was in your hands made us feel so much better. We really enjoyed the Instagram updates so we thought you’d like to see ours. Here she is freshly bathed, having a treat and as Missy predicted- out cold! Thanks again!”
